The evangelist “communicates spiritual things by spiritual means” (1 Cor. 2:13), “plants” but also “waters.” It is individual work (1 Cor. 3:6) and “increase” is God’s work alone (v.6b). The evangelist must have previously been “ploughed” himself (v.8-9)
