The reader will find doctrinal expositions in relation to specific historical facts which have provoked arduous controversies in which brothers have engaged to make God's truth triumph. Having “bought” the truth dearly, the pioneers of revival learned to appreciate its value, supported by uncompromising piety. They defended it with ardor, thus preserving and strengthening the ecclesiastical position of the brothers.
