It is from heaven where he was exalted, after having known the pain and shame of the cross, that the Lord grants gifts to men. The pretensions of religious men are not lacking in Christianity, but the gifts and ministries have as their sole source the Lord in glory. The current claim to any official ecclesiastical appointment, with or without the laying on of hands, is without basis in the Word of God.
