(1) Clear exposition of Matthew chapters 24 and 25, with three parts: the Jewish disciples, the Christian profession, and the nations (the end times). (2) Essential differences between the coming of the Lord and the day of the Lord: In His coming, the Lord will come from heaven on the clouds to meet His resurrected or transmuted people and bring them into the Father's house; in his day he will come from heaven to earth, with the heavenly saints, to exercise judgments and bring in his millennial reign. (3) The heavenly hope will be crowned by the coming of the Lord in grace, on the clouds, for the heavenly saints (those of the church, and the men of faith of old). It has nothing to do with any event, it speaks to the hearts of true believers and rekindles their affections for the Lord, the Bridegroom who comes “soon”.
