This volume is the translation of chapters 5 to 11 of a work by W. Kelly in English The Early Chapters of Genesis (1-11).
Major subjects from Genesis are exposed (the genealogy of Adam through Seth, the flood, the administration of the world, the sons of Noah and the distribution of the nations, the genealogy of Shem, the sons of Terach) with an abundance of detail uncommon among commentators, while closely following the Word of God. Notes of these meetings held by W. Kelly between 1871 and 1874 appeared in the English journal Bible Treasury, vol. 18 to N2, between 1891 and 1898.
