It denounces party spirit, unmasks the wisdom of the world, insists on the power of the Spirit, recalls the divine order in the institution of the Lord's supper and the use of spiritual gifts, teaches the unity of the body, commands holy discipline, reproves disputes, insists on personal purity, advises the saints regarding social and family difficulties and decorum, responds to speculations about the future state, exhorts to holiness in walking, recalls the strength of Christian hope, instructs on how to collect and regulates the mutual relations of those who work locally.
